I came across an aesthetically pleasing Greasemonkey plugin yesterday, Helvetireader. This restyles the Google Reader page to a very clean looking layout out that makes use of the Helvetica font, white background, black text and red highlights.

Is it a significant improvement? I am still weighing that up but it is certainly a visually appealing alternative to consider.
