Not everything on eBay is a bargain. I’ve just done a search for sweetcorn flavoured crisps and found a pack of 5 25g bags for £6.95, somewhat more than the £1.19 I paid for the same thing in my local Home Bargains store this afternoon. We’d actually gone in for something entirely different, which we didn’t find but I was intrigued by the flavour idea and by the fact that they come from Seabrook, who generally make crisps I enjoy.

They were… okay. I quite enjoyed them but, although Jane and I will happily eat through the other four bags in the pack, I don’t think we’ll rush to buy more (even with that potential eBay markup in mind). I think I prefer crisps with a sharper flavour like the classic salt and vinegar or the less common but still delicious pickled onion. I’ll stick to enjoying sweetcorn flavour in the form of sweetcorn! Worth trying through, at least at the price we found them locally.
