I found out a couple of weeks ago that the next Charnwood Concert Band outing (at Music in the Park in Queen’s Park, Loughborough on Sunday 27th) requires us to start playing at about 1:30pm… which was the earliest I could get there. That makes electric bass impractical but I’m going to aim to rock up with the tuba where I just have to pull it out of the case, pop in the mouthpiece and I can start playing!

It is going to be a fairly short set so, if you are coming along, join me in trying to arrive by 1:30!
