This evening’s LCP prayer walk took us down to the far end of Old Ashby Road and a network of streets I hadn’t even been aware of previously. The other unexpected thing was seeing a couple of partridges strolling around across people’s front gardens. For the time being at least, before a major housing development progresses further, the area is near farmland but I hadn’t expected to make an urban siting of this bird.

I did see one or two pear trees as well although there was no obvious connection between flora and fauna.
