I was short on time today so my direct watercolour was just that- playing with some colours and how they flow into each other without taking the time to make it a painting of anything in particular other than an expression of the medium.

These are all from my cheap watercolours – violet, a mixture made from all three greens (dark, sap, pale) and, my favourite, the strongly granulating ultramarine blue.
