I ended up spending most of my time this afternoon doing music so just a quick watercolour piece today:

One rectangle of burnt sienna, one of ultramarine and then I closed the sketchbook before reopening it and adding connecting lines using orange and blue watercolour pencils.

The paper in this sketchbook is very this so one thing my experiment confirmed is that it really isn’t good for that medium. However, it also reminded me that I enjoy drawing on wet surfaces with watersoluble pencils so I might work some more of that in during the rest of this month.
