Jane came home with a bunch of Sweet William (Dianthus barbatus) today so that became my watercolour subject for the day:

It’s a bit stiff – I was trying to avoid overworking it although having done a couple of drawings in advance did seem to help. More tomorrow. Perhaps I should do a messy version of these flowers?
