Jane and I are at the Oxford Summer School again. This year, I’m doing the Anatomy for Artists course with Anna Pike.

As well as working from books, we’re getting instruction on anatomy for the tutor and she is also sitting as model for us. I don’t think my drawings have particularly flattered her (she looks healthily rounded rather than fat) although the purpose is more about looking for the form under the surface:

Today was mainly about the spine and ribcage; tomorrow, we move onto hands.
