When we had our bonfire the weekend after 5 November, I took numerous photos. One group of those used a technique that find hard to resist when faced with the flickering colours of a fire, namely dropping to a slow shutter speed and moving the camera during the exposure to create all sorts of fantastic light patterns. I have kept five of those images, which I have cropped and developed to serve as desktop wallpaper images.
In this shot, I deliberately kept the light along the bottom edge of the frame, which gives plenty of space for other elements of the operating system to sit without obscuring the pattern.
