This past weekend, Jane and I have been at Greenbelt, a Christian arts festival that runs at Cheltenham racecourse over the Bank Holiday weekend every year. This was my first visit since 1991 but I suspect there will be a shorter break before I return.
I want to reflect on some of my personal highlights over the next couple of days but will start with something that wasn’t on the programme. On Friday afternoon, as I was rehearsing for the event I was playing at, I looked out of the window (upstairs at the top of the grandstand, near the Soul Space venue) and saw an amazing rainbow formed over the tents spread out across the racecourse.
That was enough of a site for all of us to stop and watch for a minute and a brilliant occurrence for the start of what proved to be a very stimulating weekend.
