In May I have a couple of functions lined up with The Pico Brown Five; that means I need to start dosing up on my jazz vitamins again.

Earlier today I was checking out details of the first ever Oxford Jazz Festival, which is happening over the Easter weekend. They have a great looking line-up (including the fabulous Branco Stoysin, who I came across in the Horniman Museum gardens a couple of years ago). There is also a nightly Jazz Jam event, which might be a good opportunity to test my mettle.

The immediate priority though is to stop surfing and get down to some practise… where did that Real Book go?
