This week’s fiftytwo shot sees me trying out an oversized soul patch using a 2″ paint brush.

There was a certain amount of reasoning in my choice. For example, I’ve long cultivated the little bit of hair below my lips, a paint brush signifies creativity and we’ve been decorating over the past couple of weeks. However, it came together because I wanted something on which I could try the idea of high pass filtering on (a digital darkroom technique that I wrote up for the Digital Photography School website.
