It is probably not entirely co-incidental that the musician I have listened to most according to my last.fm is both the dude who put me onto the site in the first place and a personal friend – Steve Lawson.

I think he sometimes checks in and reads things here from time to time so I’ll hold back too much gushing about his skills. However, Steve does have a very active web presence so you can easily check out his site, hear samples of his music, buy his CDs and discover his gig dates (he is currently travelling round various places in Europe).

I really ought to get round to booking another lesson with him (although I have been promising that for about three years now!). However, he is clearly positioned as my number one artist and well worth checking out for music that is played on bass but otherwise pretty unlimited.
