In August, Jane and I took a walk across to the gardens of the Horniman Museum for one of their series of free concerts (blogged about), where we enjoyed the sounds of the Branco Stoysin Trio.
In the break between sets, we took a stroll round the Horniman gardens, which contain many beautiful plants. I was very pleased with how this shot of a yellow flower came out.
The subject is probably past its most glorious days – just look at that growing bald patch! The colours are still rich though and the green centre makes the final image less monochromatic than it might have been a few weeks earlier.
All in all, an afternoon well spent and a picture that I am pleased to remember it by.
