One of the features of Flickr is the ability to mark pictures as favourites. If you see something that catches your eye, you can make a note and come back to it later. That is often a way of discovering other photographers whose work you like; if somebody comes up with one shot that grabs you, it is highly likely that their choices in picturing the world are also going to produce others that you find similarly evocative.

Therefore, I’ve decided to publish a series of some of my favourite pictures from Flickr – one per day for a week and each from a different artist and linking to their online portfolio. Get ready to open your eyes!
