We had our first tomato harvest of the year last night with a couple of sweet little toms from our ‘Red Cherry’ bush. I thought we were running late but, checking back on my gardening notes, last year they weren’t setting fruit until late July and harvest didn’t begin until late August and, the year before that, the first tomatoes only got in a few days earlier. I suppose that shows why notes win over memory in building a picture of the past.
