It is strange to think that the run of Legally Blonde is already half way through: the opening night and Saturday matinee are done and we just have tonight and the closing night tomorrow. I think I would prefer to have been playing bass for it but that’s partly because I love playing and the songs are a lot of fun even if somewhat of a workout. Still, the stagehand work is interesting too and not something I’ve experienced before.

What I don’t get to do is get a proper viewing of the show. I get to the see the back of the curtains, the back of the large stage pieces and the performers as they prepare to go on or head off. With the latter, they are sometimes passing things to me including, part way through the final bows, a live and very well-behaved Jack Russell dog, which has a small part. Don’t worry, it gets its bow… I think bringing it off is more of a safety precaution with a lot of people dancing round in a small space.

Anyway, a few more minutes and then it is time to head off for show #3.
