As the fifth of November, much of the UK sees all sorts of fireworks displays, from huge public and commercial ones to smaller, back garden affairs. I’ve never witnessed any nasty accidents but some of the back garden ones I’ve been to haven’t been models of good health and safety.
The party we went to tonight though was excellent. It helped that it was a decent sized garden but there was also a cordon erected to help the audience keep safely back. There were two stands of fireworks on opposite sides of the far end of the garden and the result was a safe and spectacular display that kept up the pace but without one firework in a stand going off while another one was being lit. Good work.
