My fruit cage at the allotment is now almost complete. The two steps left are fitting the support struts and then covering with netting. The struts come in two parts which is probably to keep the overall length down. They need fixing together with the supplied self-tapping screws but keeping everything lined up and screwing the two bits of metal together proved tricky when I started it yesterday.

I decided to bring the bits home and it was much easier to complete the job with the help of my workbench. Of course, the next challenge is seeing if the longer poles will fit in the car to get them back to the allotment!
