I popped down to my local surgery today to have a blood pressure reading (routine check-up) and the nurse said it was just a little on the high side and could I please do some home readings for a week?

That sounds like an excuse for a gadget and, since they aren’t too pricy, I’ve gone ahead and ordered one. Will it be any good? I’ll find out later this week – Salter is a reputable brand name from days gone by but I don’t know to what extent the modern company reflects old values. It will be interesting to see what range of values I get out of the machine. If nothing else, it will be a little exercise in data capture and analysis to gauge whether the device seems to measuring something or kicking out random numbers.
