The new plum tree we planted a couple of months ago seems to have taken well and is looking quite the picture at the moment, covered with blossom. Alas, it is beyond the far end of our polytunnel so you can only enjoy it when you walk down to the far end of the garden.
Give it time though. In two or three years, I hope it will be peeking over the top of the polytunnel and we’ll get a glimpse of the blossom from the dining table, set against next door’s magnolia which will line up against it (itself a picture although now a mix of flowers and young leaves rather than the sea of white and pink it was last month).
