The BBC have a page of photos showing Good Friday events from around the world. In East Oxford, we have annual ‘walk of witness’, which proceeds via six stations from Cowley Road Methodist to SS Mary and John.

This year, I was offered the chance to carry the cross between two of those stations. It isn’t a full-scale cross so can be carried rather than dragged but, even over a short distance, it becomes heavy enough. Along with the Good Friday afternoon medication at St Clement’s, plenty of food for thought in thinking about the meaning of Easter.
