The myrtle vodka I started a couple of weeks ago got bottled tonight. I’m not quite sure of the chemistry but, for some reason, it has come out more purple than the reddish hue normally acquired by previous batches of myrtle gin. A different solvent alcohol? Older berries? Less sugar?

I’m not sure but it looks good and tastes good. Something to try again with next year’s harvest.
