If I’m going to complete my RPM Challenge for 2018, I need to pull my finger out a bit. So far I’ve finished about 24 minutes of music spread across 5 tracks (the targets are either 35 minutes or 10 tracks). This weekend might see me playing with a white noise generator although I do have some more tuneful irons in the fire that could see me through.

The starting point for this one was recording a short car trip and then adding a couple of layers of largely improvised response over the top – a pondersome bass line and, reflecting the wet conditions, a watery layer on top. It could probably do with a remix (perhaps more of the background?) and some reworking of the bass parts but it gets me a little further forward on my journey.
