Yesterday was my introduction to the world of geocaching; a walk round Shotover on a beautiful afternoon but with the added frisson of using GPS gadgets to locate hidden items.

There is a global network of cachers based out of the Geocaching website. This gives co-ordinates for numerous locations around the world. There are lots around my local area and I think this is a game I might play again (although possibly not some of the more extreme forms which can lead to countywide hunts and wider.
