Often the book of the film disappoints. The better the book, the bigger the challenge to portray it, even with advances in computer graphics which enable the most incredible fantasies to be made real on the screen. This evening, I finally watched the film of Orson Scott Card’s Ender’s Game and was pleased to discover that it amply lives up to that brilliant story.

Time to read the book again I think, although I’m also tempted to watch again with the commentary before I return the book to the library.
