Two services at church today, morning… and afternoon. The latter was a special event to inaugurate the new Oxford Christians Against Poverty (CAP) Debt Advice Centre.
This is a new outpost for an organisation that is doing sterling work in the UK (and now even a little further afield) in helping people break free of the chains of debt and learn to manage their money so that they don’t get trapped again. It doesn’t promise instant answers or an easy ride but is doing a good job transforming lives for the better.
Anyway, it is launched with support from a consortium of St Clement’s and five other local churches and the first client for the service will be seen later this week. Hurrah!
