Whoops. Having carefully packed an additional pen before heading off to last night’s Understanding Christian Doctrine course at Oxford’s Diocesan Church House, I discovered I had forgotten to pack my notebook. That’s what having had a half-term week to let things get out of place will do!
Fortunately I did have my folder with the collected handouts and many of those have plain backs, so there was plenty to write on. I’ve now diligently transcribed the notes back into the book. I was wondering if this might be a sensible practice to pick up; copying up is an effective way to revise material and revision is an important part of learning. However a better approach might be to type the notes up; that way I would get an easily legible, searchable copy as well as the benefit of revision.
