I am pleased to announce details of the next Deep to Deep gathering of Christian bassists. Our next meeting will be on Saturday 13 October at  Wallingford Baptist Church (OX10 0BH). As normal, the day will run from 11am – 3:30pm. At the moment the agenda is fairly clear although I have had one request so far, to consider the subject of fills. Playing fills is not  a problem for me; they drip from my fingers like liquid honey. It is just adjectives like appropriate and tasteful that I need to work on!

The event is free to attend although, because of the constraints of the venue, people will need to stump up £1.80 to cover the local pay and display car park. No booking is required although it does help me and the other people planning on leading sessions if we have a reasonable idea of how many people to expect. This is our first gathering in Oxfordshire, so I am hoping that it will be an opportunity to meet some new, local people as well as catching up with familiar friends.
