Password Typing

The password I use to lock my machines at work recently came up for renewal. I have two machines, one of which is directly in front of me and one of which is to the side, with the keyboard at an angle.

My passwords are reasonably long and, as befits someone who works in IT (and, ideally, everyone else too!), are a combination of letters (upper and lower case), numbers and other symbols. I used to find that I mistyped the old password on the machine in front of me about once every four or five times while I rarely got it wrong on the other keyboard. I am fascinated to find that this has reversed with the new password!

Next time it is due for renewal, I will have to do some experiments and see if I can find a combination that works equally for both.
