It is almost three years since I last posted about playing the board game Carcassonne. I think we have played it once or twice since then but were inspired by trying another game, Settlers of Catan, at Russell and Sally’s on Wednesday evening.

At the end of yesterday afternoon, I had been pondering cycling back home via the local games shop, The Gameskeeper, and was just checking prices and opening times when I realised that I hadn’t finished the IT report I am due to present in an early meeting this morning. I polished that off but, by then, it was too late to go shopping. In lieu of a new game we decided to break out an old one instead.

Oh, and it was a draw by the way – one game to Jane and one to me.
