The latest version of the Firefox web browser has been out for a few days. I upgraded my Windows machine at work last week, which was straightforward — that machine is mainly used when I need Windows-specific software and had no extensions installed at all.
I still have to upgrade my main workhorse in the office (which runs Ubuntu Linux 8.04) but this morning I have taken the step of upgrading the Mac at home. It looks like all my essential extensions for that machine still work although this is a smaller range than what I use in the office. Browsing around does seem a touch faster although I have not used it enough to get a good feel for what the more overt differences may be.
For those that want to upgrade, you can visit the Mozilla site to get the latest version for your system.
