I came across what I think is a memorable quote on photography today:
Sometimes Physics says “there’s no way you’re going to get that shot”, at which the creative photographer sticks their fingers up in a rude gesture and finds a new angle which makes everything fit together AND shows things in a fresh light because they were willing to look beyond the problem to a better solution.
Or perhaps it does not count because I was the one who wrote it (see the Digital Photography School Forum)? I think it encapsulates my approach to creativity for both photography and every other endeavour. You don’t always get what you want first time but if you try, sometimes (always?) you might just end up with a result that is much better for the effort put into achieving it.
