This post is a reminder for me that I changed the batteries in my weighing scales recently – two fresh CR2032s costing £6.99. According to the note on the back, the previous change was on 11/11/2006 (which should be an easy date to remember) although I thought they also got changed more recently than that (hence today’s post to mark the information for future).
What I would love would be a set of replacement scales that still allows measuring to the nearest gram for accuracy when baking, which doesn’t rely on electronics (and toxic, expensive batteries) and which doesn’t take up lots of space (I have a set of balance scales but they are bulky). Perhaps a small set of scales for accurate measurement of fine quantities and then larger, less precisely graduated ones for bulk amounts?
