On a recent visit, Leo asked if I would like to look after his juicer on long-term loan. Occasionally I have eyed up the fancy electronic models but this is the real deal: simple, mechanical and brilliant. It won’t whip me up a nice carrot and ginger juice cocktail but as a low-tech, environmentally friendly way of getting freshly pressed orange juice it is fantastic.
