As a post-script to yesterday’s updated comments code, I wanted to show the graphic that is used as a marker while specific information for each entry (thumbnail graphic and number of existing comments) is being looked up on Flickr.

The icon was generated with an appropriately coloured background at the ajaxload.info website. This is a free service allowing the creation of customised versions of standard graphics associated with AJAX-powered web pages (ones that look up information and rebuild parts of the page without requiring a complete reload).

Unless Flickr is running slowly, you will probably hardly ever see it on the blog, so this is its moment of glory and my word of thanks to the creators of ajaxload.
