I’m pleased to announce that my home broadband woes seem to be over. I’m not quite sure how. I tried some of the same settings I tried yesterday, with a similar lack of success and then decided to call the ISP’s helpdesk number. I was highly frustrated because it didn’t work (so much for 24/7 support) but then noticed that my email checking was suddenly registering new messages. Magic!
