That was a worthwhile trip – Doug Wimbish put on an excellent set at the Bass Centre. It got off to a bit of a late start, due to problems on public transport and wanting to wait for a some of the people who’d promised to show up, and was standing only but Mr Wimbish made it worthwhile (mainly using some backing tracks but with ample room for improvisation and stomping all over his huge collection of pedals) and gave the new Trace Elliot gear a thorough workout.

I’m not sure who’s up next but I’ll be keeping my ears open – it sounds like this may be a monthly event and I hope I can make some more Bass Centre clinics in the coming year.
