I’m off to a clinic tonight. Fortunately this isn’t for some scary disease but the second of the new series started up by the Bass Centre in London. Tonight will be Doug Wimbish, who’ll be launching the new Trace Elliot line of gear.
I was there last month as well, for Armand Sabal-Lecco, which was a bit noodley at times but had plenty of insights to to take away. Hats off to the Bass Centre for resurrecting this informative and educational series – seeing some of the most renown and influential bassists in the world up close on a small stage (and for free) is a real boon.
ps. If you want to see me up close on a small stage area, don’t forget the next Elusive Teeth gig in Croydon, South London, this Sunday evening!
