Thorpe Acre church passed a key milestone today – the first service with our new vicar at the helm. Rev. Tim Day comes to us from a team ministry on the edge of Leicester and was originally due to be “collated and inducted” last Monday. However, as that was the date of the Queen’s funeral, the official service had to be postponed and Tim was licensed by the local bishops to begin his ministry at a private service instead.

This is his first Sunday which, by my lights, he has passed with flying colours. We look forward to working with him in the months and years ahead. We’ll be onto Christmas planning all to soon but at least we’ve now made this fresh start.
