I heard on Gardener’s Question Time last week that many growers across the UK have noted their tomato plants being slow to ripen Normally, I would expect to begin harvesting by at least late July in a polytunnel. However, I think the time of harvest (or even glut) is almost upon us:

My ‘Orange Rapture’ tomatoes (seed simply from a supermarket batch I picked up several years ago and have been saving and using each season) are in the lead but the other three varieties all have ample green fruits and look like they will all be ready to start picking soon.
