Jane got her first vaccine today; I’ll need to wait a bit longer. Since we were offered a range of places quite a distance away, we picked on the far side of Derby. All within the rules but an opportunity to take a longer drive than we’ve had for a while and to see a bit more of the countryside. The weather wasn’t great but we took a route back than ran a short way up the amber valley and an opportunity to stroll round the National Trust’s Duffield Castle site (with a bit of imagination, you could see how it would have been a good strategic location… about 800 years ago when it was torn down!).
