I got to break out the double bass for its first public outing in ages. I think the previous time I played it in front of other people was probably at the ‘Sanctified Blues’ event in Oxford, which I think was last September.

Tonight was another church setting – this time, supporting some instrumental music for a celtic evening service. Not too tricky, which is just as well as I’ve not been doing a lot of double bass practise and I’m not back at full gig readiness just yet for that instrument!
