We took a late evening stroll to the Bathaus today, arriving shortly before sunset and staying for some time. We’d hoped that there would be loads of bats flying about but I only spotted about four.
Perhaps it is still on the chilly side for bats? We’ve had some warm weather recently but temperatures have plummeted recently and we’re set for another night only a little way above freezing. Or perhaps it is the lack of food. Not too far away from the Bathaus is a service road illuminated by LED streetlamps. I would have expected to spot a few moths hovering around but there were none to be seen.
I’m sure we’ll get some more chances to visit so we’ll see what happens when it warms up again.
