Last week was great spring BBQ weather (albeit, obviously, not for inviting anyone else round to join you!). Over the weekend it has started to become overcast again and the temperature has plummeted but, since we didn’t get round to it last week and the weather doesn’t look to improve much this week, we decided to wrap up warm and get out in any case.
We got the coals started in our BBQ chimney, tipped into the BBQ itself and put the meat on to cook. Then it started to snow. Honestly, it did! Granted, not much, but there were small icy flecks appearing the sky! It didn’t last though and the cooking was over fairly quickly.
I expect we’ll have more fire-based cookery later in the year, but probably when the weather picks up a bit.
