As well as listening to some great music, I’ve been trying to play some of it as well. I had another Long Player gig last Saturday at a very mini-festival (a charity event in someone’s back garden – brilliantly done). It was acoustic, with mics to support the vocals and guitar but my double bass work had to sing under its own steam. All in all, it sounded pretty good but I did have some plucking hand blisters by the end.

Thank heavens for the bow which let them get some relief! It was also good that I was playing electric guitar – with plectrum – the next day at church and I should be ready for the electric bass duties lined up this Sunday (church and also the Red Lion jam in Brightwell cum Sotwell in the evening).
