I often get my sketchbook out when I’m at church. Every now and then, it turns out my sketch links a little to the theme of the day. Last week, the sermon talk was entitled The Water of Welcome. As it drew to the concluding round up, I realised that my quite abstract exploration of some of the architectural forms had a watery look that flowed well with the underlying metaphor and three, increasingly rich shapes that fitted the three main points:
I added them in lightly at the top, so this one became both a drawing and my notes for the day.
