I think series six of Endeavour (2012) is one of the best yet and the final episode, which I watched tonight, was a fitting crown to bring it to a close.

What can I say that doesn’t have too many spoilers? Compared to previous series, I think it is fair to say that the core team reaches a happier ending than is often the case, where the conclusions have tended to be more bitter than sweet. It is far from saccharine though, with plenty of tragedy and villainy into the mix.

I’m delighted that it appears there will be a seventh series to come and I’m particularly interested to see what they do to continue setting up the Morse of the original series (and books).
