If I hadn’t given the game away by putting a caption on the photo and a description directly on the sketch, do you think you would have guessed where it is?

I don’t think there is enough information to make it unmistakable but I wonder if at least Oxford friends can recognise the location and perhaps even pin down more or less where I was sitting yesterday evening when I created this sketch? Or, if you don’t see Magdalen tower behind a lamp post and trees, where in the world does it take you?

The base layer was mainly blind drawing, which I enhanced with felt tip pens smudged with water (must carry a brush as it makes my fingers messy!) and a little more drawing over the top.
