Today’s 30x30DirectWatercolor2018 entry was an exercise in colour. I started with yellow and did a monochrome version of the still life. Next, I added the colours on either side in the colour wheel by mixing in blue and red to create a green and an orange. Finally, I added the colour opposite – violet – to provide a much wider range of contrast.

Not great art but I definitely prefer the range provided by travelling across the wheel.
